Shock question
First off i know your thinking not another shock question...
(1990 Toyota Pickup 4wd)
Well i finally did some searching because my ride is terrible. Has a lot to do with my torsion bars being cranked, or so i've read. There cranked to fit my 32.50 bfg all terrains. About an inch and a half i think? Pretty sure my shocks are gabriel ultras that previous owner installed and are who knows how old...
Had my heart of the bilstein 5100's but i've now read that there for lifted vehicles, 3-4 inches in particular...My question is.. What shocks can i run for a more comfortable ride? The t-bar lift is the only lift i have...i plan on a lift sometime, when the budget allows, but for now its just gonna be the t bars. Is it okay to run stock shocks, or maybe even the bilsteins, with this lift or is it going to kill my ride quality? Hope this makes sense, All replies and comments are appreciated!
Thanks YotaTech!

My T-bars are cranked 1.5" and I used Gabriel 61549s. The application is '86-'95 Suzuki Samurais-they allow for almost 1" of additional travel. As far as ride it's hard to say-I went from the T-bars at stock height with 28" bologna skins and stock (as in original) shocks that were completely shot to T-bars cranked to 1.5", 32" Treadwright Guard Dogs, and the Samurai shocks. The ride is definitely stiffer than stock, but I wouldn't call it harsh-it rides how a truck should ride-like a truck.
