Shift solenoid b po755
i HAD A CODE GO OFF FOR SHIFT SOLENOID B ON MY 1998 4RUNNER. I had it reset my backyard mechanic thought it may just be a glitch hopefully will go away. It didn't seem to shift any different. Anyways i had a compression test done 3 days later and the code decided to come on again when the mechanic took it for a drive ( At another shop) Anyways it was starting it second once the code went off. He re-set it and i dropped it off right away. The trans shop said it is 220 for the solenoids which include a and b. They said it will be 2 hours of labour to install. 400-500 DOLLARS? Is this a fair price and do you think my tranny may have been damaged from driving briefly with it starting in second gear? It has been shifting buttery smooth.
I also have a question regarding my recent compression test on my 1998 4 runner 2.7 litre.
Is this considered good? What is considered Factory Compression?
CYLINDER 1-210, CYLINDER 2-210, CYLINDER 3-200, CYLINDER 4-200 PSI
