i have a couple toyota pickups, BTW welcome to the best toyota forum.

and my first gen pickup has a 3inch suspension lift on it but i had 33in by 12in on my stock suspension. now with my three inch i still rock 33's and it does awesome off road.

for your case i say get a 4inch lift im possitive you could run 33's. and like 95% sure you could run some 35's on that lift. (i kno you can, and i know people that do but im not sure about the wheel wells rubbing) becuase i do not run that size tire.

and check out ROUGH COUNTRY lifts that is what i have on my 82 toyota, and i was impressed with the quality of it and it was dirt cheap. i got front and rear leafs(becuase i dont have IFS) new shocks and whatever else came with it, for like $350 from the internet(some online distributor, NOT ebay) and that included shipping to ALASKA which is usaully $$$$$$$

Question 1: Why do you want 4-6 in. of lift?
Question 2: What do you plan on doing with this truck?
Question 3: How much experience do you have driving this truck?

I had ZERO lift and did things in my T4R that I didn't think possible unless it was lifted to the sky. I have only a 2" body lift now (and that was for an engine swap) and could easily fit 33's and possibly 35's on it now.

First step is to understand what you want to do with your rig, then research on how to make it that capable. Also don't try to mod your truck beyond your abilities as a driver, that can lead to a severely damaged truck or driver...

Welcome to Yotatech and congrats on the truck, I also have an 88 pickup.
What are you planning to do with this truck? 33's will fit with no lift and if you look at axleike's build, he has 35's with no lift.
Depending on what you are planning on doing with your new truck, there are other things you should consider first, take a look at this thread

Whatever you decide, do your research, there is tons of info between here and Pirate that will help you out.

I have a 4" lift I can sell: Bracket lift for the front, new leaf springs for the rear.

Came on my new truck.

It will require welding as the rear spring hangars must be moved forward: rear springs are longer than stock.
