just died on me while driving
I have a 91 yota sr5 3.0 with 258k on it I bought the yota for 800 needing a head gasket at 242k changed the headgasket and it's ran fine since then til it started not giving power when I pressed on the gas almost like it was stalling upon pushing the pedal to the floor it pulls like it was floored I thought it was because I was running it low on gas and there must've been issues with the fuel pump... until, I was driving it pulling up to a stop light it died and hasn't started since, I checked the fuel pump it works fine I'm getting spark but after pulling the crossover from fuel rail to fuel rail off and turning the engine over showed that it's not getting fuel to the fuel rail I saw a post on someone else where it just died and he was discussing problems with a repin on a 3.4 but the end result or fix most people came up with was a ground or the fuel pump, I've checked the grounds the fuel pump and all the fuses... someone also recommended unplugging the battery for awhile for the computer to reset i tried that... I'm not sure about what to check next... I'm not an expert on electrical I can just take stuff apart and put it back together to spec... is it electrical? is there a fuse I'm missing somewhere?

First see if there are any stored trouble codes in the ECU:

Might try the fuel pump test jumper:

And also test the Air Flow Meter:

no check engine light
I tried jumpering the connections but I mentioned earlier that I unplugged the battery to try discharging it which I saw in another post... this probably screwed me... I'm going out to check the air flow meter next is there anyway I can get the computer pop a code by turning it over?

I tried jumpering the fuel pump connections, with the ignition on it should force the pump to be on right? well the fuel pump didn't come on and like I said I pulled a bolt at the fuel rail and recieved no fuel after turning it over so this means their is an electrical relay problem? could someone lemme know where I should be checking IE; under the hood, or under the chassis passenger side.

the diagram is awesome i thought there'd be something inbetween the efi relay (which I replaced today) and the fuel pump.
That Circuit opening relay was what I was missing and I spent half the day looking for probably that exact diagram on google and yotatech.
You wouldn't happen to know where that circuit opening relay is would u? or is that the diag interface? behind the glovebox maybe? I don't see it on the firewall... or another relay box between the efi relay/daig box and the firewall. I'm about to rig a switch directly to the fuel pump (that I know works) this is probably a bad idea but... it takes an arm and a leg to pay friends for rides and I'm sick of walking the 6 miles to the closest part store and back...

bump... I'm just at no spark right now... the spark plugs or soaked in fuel when I pull them but I get no spark running a wire off the neg to the battery to right next to the spark plug :l tried replacing the igniter... dunno if this has anything to do with it but I'm not getting a check engine light at all when I put the key in the ignition :l I think that's really bad :l

Well... I rechecked the fuses I was "Sure" on and found my 15A EFI fuse was fowled... this is a really newbie mistake... I checked the fuses when I was upset my truck died and frantically searching for the problem... if I was calm and collected when I first checked the fuses it would've saved me about 200 bucks I'm a New B the name says it. My advice is get ur head straight before you start "looking" for a problem and these guys on yotatech are really on top of there bizness even tho I didn't get the reply's I wanted I got the point that I'd missed something
THANK YOU GUYS!
