hubs wont engage, but shows im in 4x4
i have an 89 4runner, bone stock, it has the automatic locking hubs not ADD. I just recently got it, and i shift to 4 wheel and it shows on my dash that im in 4 wheel, but hubs arent locking, front driveshaft turns just hubs wont lock, any suggestions? i heard to install manual locking hubs, but heard you need conversion kit? anybody have anything, maybe even an extra old pair of manual hubs?

The ASIN manual hubs are out there, if no one here has any try pirate 4x4 or Ebay.
The light is on because it is triggered by the transfer case which is in 4wd.

Wabbit has the conversion kit for $40. He is an active forum member and vendor as well. Here is the link for the auto to manual conversion.
Hope this helps. You may want to ask him if you will need anything else for the conversion beyond this kit. I'm not sure since I haven't done this one.
