How do I restore my rear window function?
well. i woke up it was a bright a sunny day and i finally felt motivated to attempt to restore my rear window functions(defrost, wiper, console switch control) because i replaced the window tracks and motor last week, and have checked every fuse 5times overi was certain that it had to be the relay box in the rear quarter............i was right. although there is nothing wrong with the box...it's just not there. and to make thing worse some one chopped up the wiring and spliced a relay and fuse into the harnessthat i have no idea what it does

now originally this post was just me venting about this lemon i bought. but since some one (talkin to you moderator)decided to change my title and move me to the newb section, like im an idiot. lets see how all knowing you really are.
Now yes ive read the 4crawler rear window fix thing like a dozen times, hence why i was attempting this job in the first place. but that write up doesnt cover p.o. damage. also i would not have made a post if in the write up. 4crawler woulda included the wiring diagram for the relay harness for a 2GEN. so i could just jumper the leads. but its not there.
and also theres that extra relay and fuse that are spliced in? what is that? i can tell you that the gate goes up and down with the key in the gate(very nicely with that new motor) and also when the gate is unlocked the dash reads "BACKDOOR" but aside from that it looks like nothing else works
Is it weird that the door sensor and the window motor work without this relay module attached?
Now the question i pose is. what is the cheapest way to fix this. can i just use wires and jump sockets in the harness once i have the right daigram? should i just find a junked one and solder in new resistors like i was planning? what about this odd relay thing thats attached could it screw up a factory module if i reattache it? Is it possible that the p.o. may have actually stumbled upon something possibly usefull with the inline fuse and resistor action...once i can figure out how to doit for the four or so functions im missing?
stupid center console buttons...i wish they werent there so i was not compeled to make them do something......

With the Toyota electrical manual if you don`t have it.
To me it is like fishing without out a hook without the manual
with the manual you can figure out where all the extra wires and relay is for it could be for some sort of equipment that was removed.
Yes a hack job from some one else is bad no matter what it is
