i was thinking about running some viniger through it but im not sure if that is a good idea. any help is appretieted.

Why do you want to flush it out? Is it dirty? Vinegar won't hurt it but I don't understand a need for that. If the tank is dirty just take it out and clean it up with a pipe brush, dish detergent and warm water.

it has calcium build up in the lines and the tips are corroded with build up.

mine has the same problem. i'm interested to find a cheap and easy way without having to replace everything. i need to get my beater legal soon and they aren't spraying.

2. i live on a gravel road about 8 miles of it so my windshield gets dirty pretty often because of the dust.

If it has calcium build up, maybe run some diluted CLR (Think thats what is called, calcium, lime and rust?) cleaner through the system.

Yep, CLR or LimeAway would do the trick. Probably best to pull the washer nozzles off the truck and soak them in some CLR or LA overnight, maybe sticking a pin into the nozzle to loosen up the crud.

i can go through a gallon of windshield fluid in a week. i depend on the washer fluid working durin the winter months

Yep, diluted CLR then flush with alot of water..

Heck all I ever do is stick a pin in the nozzle to clear my out, hasn't failed me yet.

I've used it to remove rust spots on paint before w/o issues. As long as it is not left on too long and washed off very well, it should be OK. Just don't want to let it dry on there, as the liquid evaporates, the phosphoric acid probably gets more concentrated.

make sure to start at the source, Take the bottle off first and clean it out real good. I personally would just buy all new rubber line, It cost a couple bucks(prob cheaper then a bottle of CLR) and is fairly easy to replace. then clean the nozzle out real good, you can just let em sit in warm water or blow em out, whatever works.

on that note, can you aim those nozzles? mine spray all over the top of the windshield and i have to run the wipers periodically for 5 minutes after using them cause of the drips. they'd work way better if they hit the middle of the windshield.

Usually you can stick a needle in the sprayer and move it to adjust them. thats the way mine is at least

Using the needle trick to adjust them works well (it also clears the nozzles). Fast, easy and under a minute, JMO.

Speaking of is there anyway to aim the rear squirter on a 4runner up so when someone tailgates me I can wash their windshield?
