I have a 1988 Toyota Pickup. The 22RE was taken out buy the guy i got the truck from and he gave me a 22R to put in it. I have several questions.

22RE uses an electronic fuel pump so since i put in a 22r with a mechanical fuel pump that is located on the block would i have to take out the fuel pump in the tank?

We also tried starting it today but it just turned over and would not start (yes we put gas in the carb). would it have to do with the timing, carb, or anything else?

This is the first truck Ive ever had especially put together any help would be greatly appreciated https://www.yotatech.com/forums/imag...s/headbang.gif

I would think that you'll have to remove the pump in the tank.

More important than that however, I would think, is that the swap is illegal as he$$ ......
