In the previous years I installed a 2.5in body lift I made and didnt have any problems with anything. I just made a 3in for the truck I have now. Can anyone think of problems I will encounter or should it be pretty smooth sailing. Ive heard of stories where the holes in the floor pan had to be notched out for the shifters yall think this will be a prob.

Well, you're going to want to extend the shifters... because the t-case shifter is only about 6 inches...

And you'll probably have to cut out hole for the t-case shifter, in order to get it into 4high. But idk.
i wouldnt do anything more than a 2" body lift.

What kind of vehicle do you have? auto or manual?
Ive got a 3 inch on my 85 and have no problems

i didnt bother to extend the shifters, i just bent the tranny one forward. and the t case one is long enough

some do 2, some do 3... i personally would never do more than 2.

I have a 3" on my Pathfinder, been on there with 0 issues other than having to notch my 4wd shifter for 4low use, and my trans shifter had to be reshaped a little since I don't have a Nissan console in it. Other than that the only side effect I have is a little more clearance and my bumpers don't line up perfectly. I would call 3" the end of the line though.

i have a 3" body on mine and have had no problems. most of my buddies who have toyotas have 3" body lifts to without a problem.

2 inch is the most I'd go.
Engine runs a little cooler too. Bumper alignment can be a pain. They make those extended inner mud flaps that cover the gap between frame and body too.
I rolled an '84 4Runner 10 to 12 times down a mountain and the 2 inch BL didn't come apart. The top did though. Right at the roll bar.
