bed liner Interchageability options for 82 p/up

I have an '82 toyota pickup long bed. I am trying to find a drop in bed liner that fits my truck.. don't seem to be able to locate one, woner if anyone has been able to adjust one to fit from a different model ? any ideas would be helpful ...not interested in the spray on option... Thanks

I think the drop in liners are really bad for rust on these trucks... I had one on my old black '83, the previous owner had installed it, so I don't know anything about finding one.

ajoebob go with a spray in liner.

what is your experience with the sprayon's ? do you have any best choice ?
I do a lot of hauling of soil & gravel, so there is a lot of shovel work against the bed, do they hold up ?

i sprayed my hole truck with bed liner. its tough stuff. it will stiffen up bed (less likely to bend) and it also works as a sound dampener. i have had my truck on its side 2 times sence i sprayed it and there isnt a scrach it the liner. i'v caved in finders and doors on rocks and trees. i pop them back out and the liner has never came off. i went with red as you can see from my pic. and the only bad thing i can say about it is a spot on the hood about the size of a baseball looks like its trying to come off(but i think that goes back to prep, my falt) and the hood is faded a little but not bad. everyone who seen it up close has liked it. i'v had it on for 5 years now.

if you do get a spray in liner make sure to sand down your bed good. it only as good as what your puting it on(if you put it on bad paint it will stick to it but when the bad paint comes off so will the liner) and it took a few weeks till i thought it was fully cured and hard. it drys to the tuch in 30min or so but will be rubery till it cures all the way.

i got it off ebay if you wount to do it yourself or you can take it to a shop and have them do it. eather was it would be a lot better for your bed than a drop in liner. i used LINER X-TREEME from trkspecialist on ebay
