ball joints touching spring

anybody have this problem? it shows markings on the springs and its exactly where the ball joint is at....

Got a pic of the springs? There's a certain direction they have to be seated. I am assuming you've installed new springs and it's not some kind of old spring/this is suddenly happening story.

Something is bent, probably a steering knuckle.

yeah mine do that when ever i flex it out, the a arm swings all the way down an contacts the spring at full drop, its no big deal, you would probably see it happen if you jack one side up by the frame rail and let the tire droop down.

yah, its not actually touching now but i know it touches. it does have spacers. i guess this can be fixed with aftermarket raised up ball joints?

its the spacer thats doing it...... its a top plate spacer right? one that bolts above the whole strut assembly?

its throwing your suspension geometry out of alignment......

i totally thought this was on a 2nd gen 4runner cuz of his pic.....i was trying REALLY REALLY hard to figure out how the dang balljoint could be touching any spring!? lmao
