89 Toyota pickup buzzing sound

Hey all, so my pickup has developed another new habbit. Its a 89 22re 4x4 just as a little background. So what it's doing is this really high pitched buzz that only happens within in the frist few seconds of acceleration from a dead stop. It stops right after and sounds like its coming from the steering column. It sounds like something is vibrating on something else like a very high pitched kazoo. The steering and driving characteristics haven't changed, the sound is just very annoying. Any thoughts?

I realize you posted this a while ago, and might have found the issue. But if you haven't, it might be, and probably is your speedometer cable. It's a fairly common isse with older vehicles in general, not just with yotas. To replace it, you'll have to pretty much strip out the dash. Might as well source some other parts in the area that need replacing too

However, it might also be your horn, believe it or not. Pull off the steering column shroud and you'll see a metal contact ring close to the steering wheel end. Rub some grease or oil on it and see if that stops it. That's an easy place to start. As oppose to ripping out the entire dash.
