Thanks 4Crawler for all of the great information you have posted in the past. I have references saved from your post throught my build threads for quick references.

Joecool.. A paperclip is what triggers the diagnostic codes in these truck and you go by the flashing check engine light for codes and also for jumping connections to perform other test.

The Air Flow Meter Vane that you are asking about is what the black pipe that goes from your air filter to the Plenum. If you remove the black pipe from the air filter assembly you will see a flap in there that is moved when the engine pulls air thru the filter to the plenum.

Your Check engine codes will be on the bottom picture for the 85 and 86 model trucks. The top picture is for 87 and newer trucks. Just posted the infor for others that might not be sure how to get the codes. Also I just used a piece of wire as I did not have a paperclip at the time of the picture but is more for a reference.

How to get Check Engine Codes. I just put this up for others. Applies to 87 and up. 86 and older is the bottom picture.

The Diagnostic port for the 85-86 is on the Drivers side inner fender and is nothing the same as the 87 and up. Here is T1 and E1 jumped. The codes and engine flashes are the same as the rest of the trucks on the dash.

Nope. You need to jumper the fuel pump connector (Fp and B+), that is the rectangular 2-pin plug (red circle) in the above photo.

Okay,I think I have located and/or matched the plugs on my truck with the above photos and descriptions. Thanks for the great info.
There are two other plugs with this group of plugs on my truck, another smaller round on and another square one with one yellow wire. Are you familiar with these other two plugs and their porpose?

Also, are there any other airflow meters or main points that could be a problem in my circuit or fuel system?

Small round / single wire connector is likely the O2 sensor raw signal. Not sure on the square one, look in the FSM ECU wiring diagram section for a starting point.

Yes, that's for the hot water shower. That valve is what controls the flow of coolant engine through a heat exchanger and thus adjusts the temperature of the shower water:
