plenty of info to be had on this. I suggest going to 4crawlar's site to begin with. open the diagnostic thingy next to your underhood fuse box and jump b+ to fp with his special diagnostic tool. that will tell you if the pump runs. work backwards along the circuit from there.

I looked at my truck yesterday. It's a few miles away from here,so it's not right here.I didn't notice any round plugs going into the inner fender as shown in the picture.I also have a misunderstanding about which plug to use the jumper in(square circled in red)(small round circled in blue).

When I turned the ignition on to check and see if the fuel pump was working ,(by seeing if it was pumping fuel out of the gas line that goes into the fuel filter) the efi tank was disconnected from the intake manifold, which is and was connected to the block. Are there any sensors that would prevent the fuel pump from working with that disconnected?

Also some hoses and maybe plugs not connected to the efi tank.Do you think that could be why my fuel pump wasn't pumping fuel with ignition on?
I wanted to see if the fuel pump was working and didn't realize that there were sensors or anything else that would keep it from working.
