2000 Tacoma 4x4 Frame
Ok I tried searching got all sorts of interesting things i for the most was aware of.
Was there some sort of Vin cut off date that got the bad Dana frames .
Now this truck was from the jersey shore So I am sure it has seen it share of salt it would be nice to know .
As of now it looks good or will the salt from the last storms be eating the frame away as I type.
Thanks for any information.

POR15 will stop the rust, but the best way to do it is to get the frame blasted...
You can put POR15 over the rust, but the rust is still there, just no oxygen is getting to it.

The originally-issued frame rust warranty policy document does list VIN ranges for the campaign. I don't know if they reflect the full range of affected vehicles, and I can only assume they correspond to vehicles getting the insufficiently-treated Dana frames.
You can download the document from post #2 in this info thread over at CT:

Having talked with my Local Toyota service manager on my weekly parts pickup.
As far as they know there was no real serial # breakdown as they had been checking trucks up to 2005 but finding very few .
I was told that I have to 2015 if my 2000 has a problem. I was also reminded that repairing these frames is often way beyond the skill of at least 85% of the owners.
I tend to forget that not everyone can do all the things I can

Ok, Toyota frames rust PRIMARILY from the inside...
So I don't know what you'd have to rig up and pull through the frame to POR15 it...
But I'd rather let the recall put a brand new frame under my truck... And all the campaign stuff I know of work off the vehicles VIN...
Then I heard all the stock of extra frames dried up and Toyota was buying them back a 1.5x book to keep this from getting REAL bloody...
But I don't and won't have a Tacoma... So all I can go on is 2nd hand info...
You might get some info on YouTube...
