trans cooler

i'm sure that it does. it's incorporated into the radiator. my 2003 V6 Ltd. has this setup so I'm sure your'e V8 has it as well.
Look at your radiator on the bottom backside (below the fan), there should be 2 smaller hoses, follow them back to the tranny. my advice to you is run a tranny cooler in conjuction (inline) with the the stock cooler. I also added a remote filter as well. I use a huge K&N filter to hold extra tranny fluid. with this setup, my trans holds an extra 2 quarts of fluid. temp is around 190 when towing my boat.

Holy smokes, what are you towing a house? I guess the more the merrier eh? Just wanted to make sure that my V8 came with a tranny cooler and I found out through the dealer that it does. Our travel trailer is about 4200-4400#'s loaded, so I didn't want to over heat the tranny driving through the mountains down to Oregon. I am sure the stock tranny cooler will suffix, I don't push vehicles hard going up hills with a trailer.

Thanks for the replys, Cheers.

I Just bought a 2004 4Runner Limited V8 and it has a trans. cooler thats seperate from the radiator, I have a B&M Super Cooler that I'm thinking of installing...........so in answering your question I belive that your 4runner v8 has the same set up as mine.
