Magnaflow cat-back picts & write-up
Got my Magnaflow cat-back yesterday and threw it on this morning. It's a very simple install. Just two bolts in the front, two bolts over the rear axle, remove the stock sytem, then hang the Magnaflow pieces and bolt them back together and you're done.
It's great to be able to hear the V8 now. I drive a mustang with a full headers-back exhaust, so I'm not used to a quiet cabin. There's no drone with this Magnaflow set-up (people who complain must never of driven cars with modified exhausts before), but you can definately hear the truck now when you're on the gas. It's very well-mannered at cruising speeds - the wife and I were able to carry on conversation on the freeway this evening just fine.
Which would you rather have?

Mkool,
Did you get a quote from NSOR? DO you think they would give a better deal if two were purchased?

Its seems a little steep for me. I'm going to look around on the net to see where else we can get it. Seems everything has gone up since I modded my old truck. sigh...

Honestly, no, but I didn't expect to. Magnaflow claims like 15 hp I think? You can't expect to feel that in a 4500 lb. truck. It's nice to know that there's a gain, and just the tone is worth it. What I am watching is my gas mileage, I expect to pick up 0.5-1mpg or so.

You trick yourself into thinking that because you tend to be a bit more heavy footed now that you can hear the thing rumble.
And I haven't forgotten about the sound clips, just been busy. Maybe I can do it today.
