a while ago i hit a frost heave with my truck and it shut off. i tried starting it back up and it wont start. it will turn over all day long but it wont fire up. i checked the starter cable and all the ingnition wires. does anyone have any ideas?

check your airbox connector-electric wiring- undo the connector and verify pins are lining up with the connector.

Happened to me on my 95-2nd gen.

before you start unplugging stuff and checking wiring I'd suggest checking for spark and fuel first.

there is fuel in it and there is spark on the starter.

Spark at the spark plugs would be a good thing to check as well......

There may be fuel in the tank but is it pumping?

check maf sensor on top of the air cleaner. had same symptoms and fix was "wiggling" connection 5 years ago with out a repeat since.

im kind of thinking now that it is the fuel pump. how would i know for sure?

how would you check if the fuel pump is bad on a truck with fuel injection? maybe im just an idiot...but i really dont know. help...

Smack the tank with a hammer? Im pretty sure I see a v6 badge in your avatar picture, have you checked compression? When was the t-belt changed?
