when I look up this part in a parts catalog, Its listed as the front part of the rear spring assembely. my truck does not have this. should it or is just a metal inner sleeve for the bushing enough??

coulda sworn I just said......
What parts catalouge are you looking in? The front pivot bolt on an 86 Truck (assuming thats what you are talking about) is just a regular bolt. The bushing is pressed into the spring, and the sleeve is part of that bushing. The front bolt for rear springs is just a normal bolt.
The bolt you have pictured above is the FRONT pivot bolt for the FRONT springs on STRAIGHT AXLE rigs only. You wont find that part anywhere on your 86 Turbo 4Runner.

apparently there is a 1 ton hanger pin and a 1/2 ton hanger pin. the one ton is pictured and should still work. the 1/2 ton pin just looks like a bolt.

Not so sure the 1 ton will work - I think its thicker thant he 1/2 ton one
The 1/2 ton (i.e. your 4Runner) is 18mm
See Marlin Crawler's site for pics
Thats approximately 0.70" btw...
