I wouldn't recommend doing HGs without machining the heads/block. If the HG recall was done (check local dealer with the VIN), then I'd go with Toyotoa Red coolant & call it even.

I called the dealer and the HG recall was not done to the motor...which stinks...I think.
I think I might risk not replacing it and just see what happens.

Actually, I just read it's an '88 & I don't think they experienced the issues like the later models did.
