Truck won't start when COLD
My friend has an 88' 4Runner V6. Lately when it's colder in the mornings the truck will not start, but then later in the day it fires right up. We don't know exactly what is the cause. Maybe the starter has a bad contact? Any comments or help please!

Does it crank over? Or does it just sit there and do nothing?
Initial thoughts:
Bad battery
Cold start injector (if this has one, which I think it does)
Starter contacts (but it would happen in hot weather too)
More info please.

Nothing, at least that is what he tells me. Every time I go over to hear what it does, it fires right up, and I don't want to go over in the morning when he goes to work.
And he has a 2 month old battery

Try checking the wiring harness to the "cold start injector" as that's what it's there for, i.e., to help out starting on cold mornings.
Your friend might want to look into replacing it, the injector, if it's bad.
