Would it be better to buy a drop in 3rd member setup with an ARB or try to score an E-locked axle?
I've been dealing with this for a while. I don't really have the ability(no tools) to mod my 8" housing for the e-locker. So what about just swapping axles?
Sorry for the Hi-jack!
It is $1399 for the 3rd member/ARB setup

Does the driveshaft from the tacoma to the old school 8" differ?
How would I adapt?

i had done a search and if memory serves, one thread stated there was a 1/2" difference in axle length from a 88 to a taco. if that was track dimension, shouldn't matter i would think. if driveshaft length is different, mounting 3rd could be an issue. if i have time i'll try to retrace my steps. i searched "tacoma diff to 94" i think.
