Symptoms of faulty TPS?

The only way I know of testing for TB leaks is by doing what my world likes to call a "boost leak test". It's where you hook up compressed air to the TB and force air through hearing for any leaks.

I just wanna add that BoostinChick's TPS problem appears to be that it's reading constantly at idle even when it's not (the IDL signal to the ECU is not clearing when the throttle is opened).

Hell I would have guessed the engine wouldn't even idle with it unplugged.

I disconnected my TPS today and the idle bumped up a bit (haven't test driven yet while it's diconected), seemed smoother so I'm guessing that's a good thing (except for the TPS being bad). When I plug it back in the idle drops to about 800 or 1000 and is slightly rough. Since I've been here in Mexico I only get about 130 miles per tank while in the US I was getting about 220 miles to a tank. I know part of the reason can be the crappy gas, but someone mentioned too that I check my TPS.
I'm in Mexico at least for the next 2-3 months and the chances of me finding the TPS here and at a decent price is about impossible. I could have one mailed to me but I'm not too sure I'd even receive it.
So if I were to drive around with it disconnected would that harm anything on my engine?
