Starting problems
Alright guys so after getting my new 4runner wanted to see if it would have any issues. My dad and I tested the 4wd and it worked fine, except that the 4wd indicator light did not come on. I searched under the truck and found a "blue connector" that was disconnected on the passenger side right by the oil pan. So I connected it and went through 4HI to 4LO and it worked now. Also my oil gauge is not working, but my oil pressure is good, so I'm probably guessing its the sending unit. And now it's having trouble starting on. The motor turns over(Possibly ignition problems?), but I think i did the mistake of unscrewing the 2 screws that are on top of the air cleaner and pulled the connector out. I searched and could not find a clear answer, so I came to the 4runner experts here . Any help is appreciated guys.

Take a razor blade and cut off the top of the AFM by cutting around the edge and using a small flat screw driver to pry the cover off. Once off, try to reinstall the front plug you removed by realigning the prongs that are on it as you insert it into the unit. Once you have it together, download the FSM from the link in my signature, and read / do the diagnostic test for the AFM to verify if it is still working. I have been able to repair 2 of these that I picked up at the local Pull A Part, and they both tested good after..
If tests show good, reseal the cover back onto the unit with gasket maker etc.
