Scanner???
I just bought a 91 4wd pickup. Also put had a reman engine installed from autozone. The 22re is running good. I have a little idle issue once warmed and coming to a stop. I have a check engine light on now. I'm thinking about buying a scanner but don't know which one. I know they can read them for me at Autozone, it all really depends on cost. Anybody have any suggestions on a scanner?

There is no scanner that will work for your truck. The scanners at auto parts places are OBD II scanners. Our trucks have no plug for OBD II scanners. To read the codes you need to jump the diagnostic terminals in the little black box under the hood on the passenger side next to the fuse box. Then read the blinking pattern of the CEL. Compare that to the code list and figure out what's wrong.
