Well, being that the kit is $1449 + the prices above, I would say you got a helluva deal.

Providing all the parts are new you did awesome! Springs and shocks are better to get what you want rather than what comes in a kit anyways.

considering that most places have just the x-over steering for about $400, that's a damn good deal
and so what if all-pro's got thier kit on sale for $1100, that means he's got $600 for springs and shocks
just be sure and put whatever money you've saved into not doing a hack job and spending the money to get everything right the first time

I was looking at the pics you attached. Do they show everything?
Did you get:
Bumpstops?
Bumpstop extensions?
Brake rotors?
Extended brake lines?
Motor mount plates?
Steering box brace?
Spring pad spacer?
Pitman arm?
Here is Marlins complete list of parts. See if you got everything except shocks and springs.

Hope so. Good luck.

It wasn't a complete kit. just whats in the pics. I planned on running different springs anyway, rotors and lines I got from napa. the extra metal parts I am building from scrap stock I have laying around. I will make a thread on this when I finally get enough free time to do this .

By the time you buy everything that kit is missing I bet you have almost as much in it as a new kit. (Think $600 plus shipping for springs alone, then shocks, shackles, bumps etc. ) Personally, I would have just bought a new kit from Marlin to line his pocket a little. Plus then any small stuff you don't have you can just call and ask for.

I need the knuckle rebuild kit with bearings. I think its like $145 or somthing close to that.
I have alot of spare 4" YJ springs and shocks around so thats covered. The spare metal stuff I can make with the raw metal I have laying around. So its complete enough to build!
