Well...if you want to call it "pegged"
I am used to a 5vz s/c so to me it feels a lot slower but still has pull

I love the sound of the intake on this engine

No dyno yet...i have been busy with vendor meetings and work...springs here and EVERYONE wants there car/truck ready NOW! even though they had all winter to get the work done...

Milage hs increased in my test truck by 5% on the first tank and up to 10% on the second.

Looking good so far....it appears the ecu has finally corrected for it so i can get in on some dyno time. Next week.

Soo... *I* think the 3.0 needs power from 2-2800, and 4500-5500 RPM... mine pulls great on the highway in 5th from 3000-4000 then falls on it's face.... Any numbers yet?

Well before you look at the pictures of the dyno, i would like you all to keep in mind that the dyno, before and after, runs are on the low side. At first I thought it was the truck, but after seeing the dyno of another member here something was up. When i went back to the dyno shop to do the after dyno run the guy told me that it was their dyno that is messed. Something wrong with the programming of the ecu. They fixed it....but thankfully they had the old one with them still so i could redyno with the same specs as before. Or else I would have like 60whp gains

So i would like to STRESS that the numbers you should be looking at is the DIFFERENCE graph vs the before/after graph.

Here is the truck:
1993 Toyota 4Runner V6 AUTO (S2S Modified for tranny control on dyno)
S2S Modded Cams & K&N Intake
Stock everything......no exhaust work or head work done.
Bald 31's
10deg Timing
92 Octane Fuel

FEAR THE 3VZ-E!!!

And now the REAL graph...and its fairly impressive! There is a substantial increase in TQ and HP down low and over 30hp of recovered HP up top!!

Overall i am impressed in the way these cams help give this little engine the boost it needs.

While these cams did a good job on a stock engine, if you modify the head and exhaust the true potential of the cams will show.

Idle is the same with just a small lumpiness to it...sounds hot
To sum it up there is a 14whp gain Peak to peak... but a total of 373gained hp and 455ft lbs of tq! WOOT
Also one more thing to add...in the city i have gained 5-8% fuel economy and up to 10% on the highway...power and savings? whoa

I can pass people on the highway now! WOOT!
These are 260deg .410" lift cams...regrinds only right now unless i can find 20 buyers for billets

Regrind Group buy starting soon, pricing details will follow once okay'd with forum mods. Check up my website for more details.

what was the peak torque gain?

That seems pretty good considering you are dealing with undersized valves and the stock exhaust. I'm really excited to see what they do on my engine.

with these cams it looks like the 3vze > 4.3L vortec....

(ok equal in specs dept but its a toyota so ties go to the toy!)

My engine has developed a knock (274,000)...so im kinda worried about doing anything to it.
