Ok heres what going on, the hubs are fine, most of my control arm bushings are shot, and I noticed a rapping in 4x4 now. I checked the axle shaft when i put the hubs back on. I know what it is, just not what its called and i think it may be a dealer part. Its a bushing or bearing in the spindle, where the axle shaft comes through. Does anyone know what its called?

I can shift into 4HI at any speed with the hubs locked.. The front driveline is rotating at the same speed as the rear, and the xfer case is in "sync" you could say.
Well, i could before i changed up my gears.
