also lift is irrelevant and is a byproduct of long travel in the desert scene. the less amount of lift you get the better off you are because of the COG being lower for higher speeds and better stability.

not saying it's completely street legal, and all his photos I can't tell what size tire, but to me they look bigger than 33's.

edit: Thought he had a tacoma ha, but I rub with 33's on the inner fender wells. Did you see scuba's tub job? I need to do something like that...

and probably another $300 in other misc stuff
looks like 33x10.50 in some and 33x12.50 in others but that is also not a total chaos kit

im runnin bj spacers and 33s with some mcneil racing fiberglass check my build thread, 32s with stock suspension should look fine

How much were your fenders and how hard are they to put on, and did u make that bumper it looks good i am trying to find one like that.

the fenders were 300 before shipping and tax, you have to drill the holes for them but not too bad. i got the bumper off craigslist, dont know what brand but someone said it may have been an old procomp one

my front fenders were pretty easy to install, they just take time to line up.
the bad part is that almost all offraod fiberglass is crappy and not very well made and you will have to make sacrifices about the fitting. so you might get the door gap good but them the hood lines are way off, or the grill might not fit back in correct.
the rears is where it gets fun....

Like said above, don't be surprised if the fiberglass doesn't line up perfect or even remotely close sometimes!!! It's just kinda commonly accepted that it fits like crap. Then again, we typically beat the crap out of our trucks so it's sorta fitting... LOL

I'm not 100% sure that's a TC kit on the white truck pictured earlier in the thread. I know the original owner of that truck Pat Kapko and the kit was originally home built. The truck was sold though and no clue if that's before or after and what kit is on the front.

I would think stock with fenders could easily fit 33's with the right back spacing. If you plan on abusing the truck hard in the future I personally wouldn't go above 35's with the stock spindles. Heck, with the 2wd spindles I have I'm nervous about running my 33's. Further down the line I want to build some custom spindles using Ranger/Explorer Dana 35 hubs so I can keep my stock wheel lug pattern.

BTW, if you're curious, here's a few different angles/views of my '89 with the Hannemann Tacoma conversion front clip and bedsides. LOL, I guess it's got the "prerunner look"...

Bolted right up for the most part. The hood is mounted right to the stock hinges and opens like stock. Only there's no latch at all... It's just hood pins up front mounted to the stock core support. The fenders bolt up to factory holes at the door jam. The front grill though and headlights are the only tricky part and take some guess work to figure out how to mount. Really though it's not too bad if you've got some basic tools and ability to problem solve & do minor fab work.
