Thanks! Any difference on the highway? I gotta get some more power... I have it to the floor and I'm lucky to top 65 mph going downhill!

idk this is copied from his signature on another board. Im deleting everything but the motor specs.

85 EFI X cab SR5. 42" IROKS, 5.29's, Putney custom cam, intake, 92 22re, thorley header 2.25 exhaust with magnaflow hi flow cat and muff.

Every time we go up wheeling and i follow that truck we can't believe how fast that sucker goes on the road. No match for my 3.4L but its still gets up there.

Oops.. its not the same header and a newer 22re, but heres the link for the shop that he got his cam from and i think his head rebuilt.

I hate to be that guy who revived an old thread but I remember reading this when it was actually taking place so I feel justified.
How do you like the LCE header? I'm getting my taxes back and would LOVE to get a little more power out of my stock 22RE. It seems that a header might be the cheapest and least invasive as I'm not savvy enough to put in a new cam or head for that matter.

Well after fixing the gasket leaks (had to shave the bottom part of the header and run two sets of gaskets with Copper Coat on them) I love it. I did this upgrade to help with the choke point caused by the upgraded Supra MAF install. I was getting more air in, not much but a little, and the stock manifold would not get rid of that air at the same (or close to) rate. The LCE header helped make the response from dead stop to moving a lot better. This is something that helps me when off road since sometimes you have to "blip" the skinny pedal while at idle to get over a rough patch. A stuttered "blip" isn't something you want in an off camber or climbing situation.

I'd have to say it is well worth the money. The header is really well built and looks a good as it works.

^^That's exactly what I'm looking for is more response from a dead stop to compete with all these guys out here on the east coast in their Audi's!

You won't out run any kind of sports car, or a mini van for that matter, with a 22re. Although off road bumpers and some rusty fenders tends to keep them away. *laugh*

The best thing about the header is that it lets the engine breathe. Faster air in+faster exhaust out=better response.

Trust me, my old Yota with that huge camper shell keeps them away, I'd just like a little more seat of your pants power.
