oil pressure
i changed my oil filter about 2 weeks after putting new oil in because of loss of filter wrench but drivng to car wash the gauge was really high never seen it that high. So i wash it off and started it up to leave and the gauges was barely reading at all. could it just be the sending unit or a serious problem

A sending unit can go bad at any time, i would try changing it first. If you drove it home and didn`t have any problems then it should be ok. I did have the oil pump go bad on my 86 4Runner, and i was lucky enough to catch it before it did any damage.

Hot OP can look like it's not even reading... But a quick reference to THE OWNERS MANUAL and noticing if it's in the NORMAL ranges will, or should put yer fears to rest...
Anything not in normal is a cause for concern... But your light should come as well..
