No....you're right about that. Whenever the suspension is compressed and lowers the rod and therefore adjusting the valve position, the valve redistributes hydraulic pressure in the line. When compressed, the brake load goes more towards the rear. Likewise, if the rod is raised, more load goes to the front....by default, really. Just means less pressure to the rear. So, technically, the rod can be affected in hard cornering when suspension is compressed or is lifting. Even in hard stopping, the rod is affected. But, the large percentage of the LSPV rod's job is with weight or lack of in the cargo area.

Ok....thats what I thought...was just confused about the lateral rod part... guess I thought it was actually part of the lspv....lesson learned.

Sorry for the thread highjack...lol


I bet you could (if the tools are available) cut the mid section of that one out, then go to your local hardware store, and get a length of same diameter tubesteel, and weld in the new section.... prob cheaper than buying new.
