The mechanic claims wrist pin going bad; did he have the bottom off or was that an opinion? What exactly has he done thus far?

Pulled my heads this weekend cuz I had a bad knock in the top of motor...Found bad wrist pin on #2..so bad it was smacking the head and denting the piston...I'm in the same boat as you,, don't want to pull the whole motor and rebuild due to $$$ but if I don't it will haunt me..AAARRRGGH
Pistons are .25 oversize and my parts motor are STD so I guess I could use the Con. Rod but thats all for a budget fix.

Check your oil. Or you may need to rebuild. Either way, your motor needs jesus.
