Leaf bolt?
ive been wondering about adding rear leaf springs to my 92 pickup, and someone said that is shouldnt be a problem as long as the center bolt is long enough, well i looked last night, and neither side has a bolt through the middle, just 2 u bolts bolted to the axle and go around the leafs, is this normal, and is it a problem?

I know around here Pep Boys has them. Id imagine if you couldnt find anything you could always grind the head of a bolt (whatever size it may be) to make it fit snug in the perch.

basically a really long grade 8 bolt will do. cut it down after you put it back together. you may want to clamp the springs in a really big c clamp, so as to not let them fly apart on you.
