Injectors Problem

Injectors Problem
I have a 87 4runner with the 22re. I was swapping the engine out with a 22re from a 87 pickup. I got the new engine in and started hooking all the wiring up when I realized that the wire plugs goin to the injectors didnt match the injector plugs. I called toyota and the guy said in august of 87 toyota switched injectors on the 22re. So now I dont know what to do.
Do I switch injectors? And fuel rail??
Try to find an 87 wiring harness for the right injectors?
And if i do these things, how will it affect my fuel/air ratio? Or will it run like crap?

The impeadance (ohms) would be different. You might smoke test the computer that way. Some had a ballast restistor on the fender that went along with that. Better take the injectors out of the orignal engine and swap them in. Don't try to make this fit.

If you have the resistorpack on your fender then you had the older injectors (low impedance), I hear you can run the newer higher impedance injectors with no problems, But if you do have trouble you may need to bypass the resistorpack.
Wont your old injectors fit?, Fuelrails should be the same but its been along time since I overlooked a 22re.
