I still see a bunch of the CustomCabs like that running around the Portland Area. One is very nice used by a contractor, sounds like it doesn't have a stock 22R in it, more like a 350

Here is my '81 Trekker, seating for 4:

I saw this nice one sunday on the way to Mt. Hood:

Whoever did this conversion or imported the HiLux cab, this is the one Toyota should have been marketing here years ago...

Nice catch... Too bad you didn't get a better pic of it though. They sold those in Canada and if you're close enough to the border importing one is about the only option to have one in the states. I always wanted to go there and buy a junker and try to retrofit it on to my frame but that's a dream I know I'll never get around to....

They even got them with diesels too...

The weird thing about that 4 door pickup in the picture above is that it looks to have a 6 foot box. The imported ones only have a small box. The thing i think happened with that one is someone imported the double cab and then extended the frame a bit and put a 6 foot box on it. That is the ideal truck for me. Would have boughten one of the RHD ones that are imported here but they didn't come with turbo diesels so I put a turbo diesel in an extended cab.

If toyota had extended the 3rd gen ex cabs like 4" and gave them the suicide style half doors, woo!
