I have a question about lifting up my 2WD automatic
I was reccomended to get this by a yotatech member for my 1988 2wd truck
145$ Package D FB+RAD and 3‘’ body lift
http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/...tml#TypicalKit
145$ 1 1/4'' lift Ball Joint spacers up front
http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/...shtml#2WDor4WD
leaf spring LSPV bracket 1'' lift in the back 70$
http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/Shackles.shtml
My question is, does this sound like like alls I need to buy for the lift? or do I need to buy shocks? if so what kind I looked it up for my truck and this is what came up http://www.bilstein.com/mistore/ymm_...reYMM=storeYMM
im not sure if i should by 4wd or 2wd shocks because of the lift.
Thanks,
John

what size tires do you want to run? you going to crank the torsion bars at all? you plan on doing anything to the rear? or is that all you plan on doing?
to answer your question though yes you will need new shocks. you have to buy them for a 2wd because the 4x4 have different mounts. you will want about a 2'' longer shock for what you are doing. i have pro comps and would advise you to get something else.
also if your interested, in a few weeks i will have a set of fabtech upper arms that give like 2'' of lift that i will be selling for $80.

You would want shocks sized to fit the lift, that is measure the compressed and extended shock lengths needed and then buy a set to fit:
