hub gaskets

hub gaskets
I'm going to install man hubs on my truck, probably warns. In reading the conversion install, I noticed that the hubs only comes with one pair of gaskets(the star shaped one) to go under the hub covers. Do I not need the gaskets that go under the hub body like with the aisin hubs. The conversion write up doesn't specifically state the hub body mounting, and I was just wondering if I needed these other gaskets to put under the hub body for the Warn hub conv. or not. THanks for the help

I just used Ultra Copper RTV on my Warns. (I know, overkill on which RTV, but that's what I had handy)
I would go with Warn instead of Aisin because:
- You can get them new or very near new (my understanding is Aisin is available OEM only - have to buy them off someone who's truck came with them)
- More available
- Lifetime warranty
As for breakage - I want my hubs to break before anything else to protect the harder to replace components. Hub replacement is SUPER easy!

You mean between the manual hub assembly and the hub/rotor assembly? I think you need something there to make sure it seals - last thing I want is water getting in there!
