Yup P-40. Flying Tiger. Man that Scout of mine ate Jeeps like they were candy. Before I sold it I had a little stencil made that I could use to paint Rubicons on the fenders. I kept the stencil and the paint in a box in the back end, I'd pull one out and paint em on! I probably had 8 of them on the drivers side door when I sold it. Those Jeep guys would complain and bitch when I did the stencil but a couple of them actually signed the door when I pulled them out. I felt like a fighter pilot in that thing on the trail......

96 X-Cab 4X4/5spd 2.7 123,000 miles for $6,000 in early 04. Purchased from my Bro-in-law, who had baby'd it. Sitting at 147,980 now with no issues. I pretty much paid full sticker (17,???) for a new 04 corolla due to negative equity in a 96 Explorer that was crapping the bed. It wil be going on the market after next week when I pay it off. Then the 4Runner hunt will start

1988 4runner sr5 with all the options except the inclinometer cluster and cd. Pretty much stock, never had the top off and original owner. Slightly overiszed duellers on it. All black, with paint 2 yrs ago. Slight rust bubbles over rear fenders of course, but very small. 126 k miles on original motor. Like new interior. 1500 bux as it sat. Put bout 600 into parts since then. And almost ready to go on the road!

$1000 to buy my '94 base model with something like 175,000, a shell, and a BHG. Add another ~1500 for a rebuilt longblock and incidentals, so ~2500 total. I don't know how bad the head gasket was, but the PO nearly wrecked the cooling system with a bottle of Blue Devil and I didn't want to mess with repairing a questionable high mileage engine.

Don't worry about that, their not. I have been told that they are nearly as "blinding" as HIDs. The reflector aim is perfect, i can see double what i did vs GE or sylvainia sealed beam. Got them locally for $100bz ($50us). Thinking of swaping them for clear rather than blue tint.

1991 pickup.
Bought it for $1,000. Had a broken timing belt, umong other broken parts. These included e-brake, heater controls, leaking rad, rusted out exhaust (more holes then pipe), bad tires, peeling paint, lots of dents, past due on all matenince etc. etc.
Here is the good side, the day it was running again. With old plates...
After more money then I'd like to admit, here it is now. Runs 10000x better then it did when I got it. Looks a little better too

last year I got my cherry 96 taco ext cab, manual, never been off road, camper, extra set of new 33s on MT rims only 99,000 miles on it for ..........................................$6800!!!
the guy had it miss posted on craigslist and so I got to it before anyone else.
if there is one thing I have learned about deals, is when you find them, they wont wait.
know what you want, look for the deal, and be ready to through the cash down.
