Hard starting 94 3.0 4x4 pick up
Before I ask a question I just want to thank everyone who has responded to my postings, pertaining to my truck issues
I am not a mechanic and I do ask a lot of questions it seems this truck has a lot of issues but I really don't want to part with it, but I fix what I can again thanks everyone. Lately when starting my truck in the am It starts right up it has a hard problem for the idle to kick down, hit the gas pedal it goes to kick down but then races back up . It runs fine but when you shut the truck off let it sit 5 min or more 95% of the time it will not restart it cranks then it goes to start rough idle and there is some smoke whitish/grey sometimes a lot most times not and clears out quickly I have also notice is black at the end of tail pipe it sputters sometimes you can smell gas ,, finally it will idle smooth out ,but it still a semi high idle and it runs fine There is no gas leaks 1994 Sr5 4x4 ext cab 3.0 aprox 130,000mi new water pump and timing belt Thanks for any Ideas/advice on this issue thanks is the some type of adjustment to be made or a sensor to be replaced? Any help appreciated
