Well, For nearly a grand you could get...

-Rear Aussie Locker
-3" Body Lift
-31"-33" Tires
-2.25" Exhaust with (Insert Performance Muffler Name Here) Muffler..

Your truck would be very capable off road, look agressive, and sound badass.

NOW GO SEARCH DANGIT!!!

Uh, reverse that order. A winch is one of the last things you buy, in my opinion.

Tires, then gears and locker, then armor then you might want to start looking at a winch.

A winch with bad tires and open diffs mean you will be dragging yourself around a lot.

Unless you wheel by yourself, get a winch at one point in time soon.
if you got your buddies then, dont worry about it they'll help.

the lifts your looking at hardly improve your suspension travel, only giveyou a little better clearence angles if you put on leaf springs inthe rear instead of lift blocks you will have a lot better chance of showing up your friends, i would do ball joint spacers, leafs and a rear locker

If you're thinking about doing the fenders, don't do the suspension lift yet. Save up and get a long travel kit from http://www.chaosfab.com and do the fenders at the same time. Don't waste the money on one suspension kit just to find out you're going to want to replace it later for a more appropriate one.

If you have to get a lift kit now, try to NOT use blocks on the rear- get new springs.

As for spending the 850, get the rear locker and exhaust done. Then start saving up for the rest. You might be surprised what your truck can do even without a lift. Besides, why get a lift if you're not getting bigger tires?

If you wheel alone, you're a damn fool.

because they add no flex, cause problems with shift linkage, and dont increase your breakover. i say if your gonna lift it, lift it right.. if you plan on wheelin at all. if you dont plan on wheelin it body lifts arent that bad but wheres the fun in that?

My order of offroad "show them" would be
1. Locker or locker"s"
2. Tires and lift
3. Winch
In that order.
You can get some big tires under a stock yota, 32's will clear with some triming. If you put 32's on and lock the back (at least) you are set.

I agree. After gashing a tire and then my spare open while 20 miles from the nearest road, I wouldn't wheel by myself even if I HAD a winch. There are too many things that can go wrong. What if you roll and you're injured? I reckon you just have to count on someone coming by soon! Hope the blood loss is slow. Hell, what if you get bit by a rabid chipmunk and your drivin' leg swells up?
