Sadly, you can't lift the gas tank on a 2nd gen 4Runner. The upper control rod mounts to the frame a couple inches above the gas tank, the the suspension is at full droop, I think it uses up that room.

I have 33x1250s, I dont rub in the front at all (cept touching mud flaps)

trick is the backspacing it seems. I have stock FJ wheels and everything clears nicely. the rear rubs on the frame a bit





if not try bump stop spacers. should only need 1/2" or so to prevent the susp from going up so much
