gears grinding on 94 tacoma
I have a 94 tacoma and I am able to put it into gear and change from gear to gear if the engine is off. However, I have a lot of trouble getting it into gear and changing from gear to gear when I am driving. The gears are grinding as well. I am a novice, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Could be synrcros, could be a hyrdaulic issue.
Lay under the truck and watch the slave cylinder while someone pushes in the clutch. If the slave pushes the clutch fork normally, you have an internal issue. If the slave barely moves the clutch fork (keep in mind it only move about 1 1/2") then you have a hydraulic issue.

Your clutch is shot. needs a disk & pilot bushing/bearing, possibly a pressure plate, unless you really jacked the pooch then a flywheel as well. 10hr job by flat rate manual. I split the t-case off after draining it so I can bench press it out and back in. I find that separate is much faster than using a trans-jack. Air tools & a 17mm flex head impact socket 3/8 drive will save you much grief on the top two bolts.
