A fresh 22RE, AHHH THE FUN! LOL!
Wouldn't you know it, just rebuilt a 22RE motor for my 86 Runner and the freeze plug in the Back of the motor in the Trany bell housing leaks.
YEAHHHH put the motor in, pull the tranny out!
I wanna Scream, LOL! the machine shop put the Plugs in, I assembled everything else. UGHHHH! Not sure what they would say to that one?
Oh Well! I could see them fixing the plug, but not booting the labor for pulling the tranny or motor to get to it. LOL they only charged me for the maichine work. HMMMMM FUN!
OH WHAT A FEELIN! TOYOTA! HEHE! My favorite saying!
oh well almost ready to put it back in hibernation for the Michigan Salt season comming up.
gotta love those little motors though, the one that died had about 570,000 on it and one rebuild along the way.

Is it leaking that bad? I know with the old V8’s I rebuilt, the freeze plugs would always seep a little and then completely seal themselves.
Drive it for a while and just keep an eye on the coolant level and the leak itself. I'm willing to bet it may correct itself.
