I heard all kinds of horror stories about the aftermarket fan brackets which is why I just eliminated mine when it seized. Nice nostalgic thread bump by the way.

My wife used some common sense regarding the fan bracket " if it lasted nearly 22 years, why dont you buy the same 1?" at the time i hadnt found the Aisin for $125.00 shipped, & wanted the truck rolling....... so i went into the twilight zone & paid $120 for an in stock made in china, pos. Not all castings or Bearings are alike. Dormans Not even close....................................

Waiting for The Aisin Bracket Coming from The east coast, paid $ 70 xtra bucks for overnite shipping. But $185 from the east is better than $125 right around the corner. If you get the chance check out the Aisin Fan Clutch, Compared to auto zone or o reillys Made in china options. Though i do think oreillys may carry Beck arnley? Aisin is Best. recieved the Aisin Fan pulley Bracket. Not smooth & pretty like the original. Called Aisin & they explained why. The Castings Have been used 10s of 1000s of times. New castings {aftermarket Doramn etc} give you that polished look. I was also able to enlarge the picture of the bracket online, & the lines & marks & crazings were nearly identical. Its going on. Dont overtighten it. Dont overtighten your belts & it should last Many years. The japanese bearing is superior.
