Driveline hitting gas tank.
Does anybody else's driveline hit their gas tank? it only hits it when i corner left hard or when it is flexing. i have l/c coils and a spacer in the rear.

I could be wrong about this but if it has a 3 link rear the axle is going to shift one direction slightly and you'll hit the tank under hard flex usually, I wouldn't think on cornering. You might need to get back there and replace some bushings. And if it's lifted and you don't extend the panhard or get a lowering bracket it will worsen that condition.

Yep, real common problem when people do cruiser coils. As AxleIke mentioned, part of the solution is to get a panhard that compensates for the lift, as if you have the stock panhard, you will see that the axle is shifted to the passenger side now, and it doesn't take much flex for it to hit the tank.
Even after you do this, it MAY still hit - Molly's did. Then you will have to BFH the gas tank skid or install limit straps. Based on my experience with Molly's truck, I would do limit straps. We always had problems with hers unloading when going downhill, and it was a contributing factor to her roll.

Okay, im going to bump this instead of starting a new thread:
I have this same problem of the driveshaft hitting the gas tank under flex and on hard left hand turns.
I only have lc coils, no spacers so it provided 3" lift at the most over stock.
So just reading, should i get the panhard drop bracket and see if it stops the contact (does it usually stop the rubbing for people with the stock size lc coils in the rear?) and if it doesn't then my only choice is to run limiting straps?
Okay, where to buy the panhard drop bracket? The only place i have really found is downey. Anywhere else?

I ended up just taking out the gas tank and putting it in my bed after the chop and bob. I know that somebody makes a panhard bracket but i cant remember who.
