Decals on 95 4runner

Someone suggested I take off the decals using a blow dryer, which I did. However, the glue did not come off. Anyone know how I could get that nasty stuff off?

When I did mine I spent about 7 hours with several different potent cleaners similiar to goo gone but stronger with an old credit card scraping away. After that I claybar'd the sides and rewaxed it as that stuff stripped everything off my paint. My rig is white and only one time the light was just right to where I could see where the stripes used to be.

It strips off any old wax and inpurities on your paint. Usually use it before waxing to get a smoother finish.

I know I've seen a thread here on how to remove decals using a drill and some weird rubber thingy on the drill, but you'll have to search for it yourself.

I used 3M decal remover spray to remove the gunk that was left behind.

This is very true, you can get them from some auto parts stores like Napa and so on. I get ours from Snap-On dealers at the dealership. But yes that is how I do it at the Dealership

I say go with the pinstripe removal pad. Just go to Napa or a paint/lacquer supply place...they should know what you need.
might wanna check this thread out:
