A340 questions
I am fresh off an engine rebuild, where I installed a LCE Pro Torquer cam. My TPS has been verified to be in proper position (rig), all three shift/lock-out solenoids have been replaced, along with fresh fluids and a new filter.
Ok, to the issue. Over 60mph with the O/D on, I have no power. At 65 I struggle to even maintain speed on level ground, if I am heading up hill I will lose speed like no other. When the truck is cold, on occasion, when starting from a dead stop the truck feels like is slips longer then normal.
Also, there seems to be a dead spot in the RPM range. I don't have a Tach so the numbers will be made up, but between 2k and 2.5k it feels like a toad. As soon as I turn past 2.5 thing turns into a rocket.
Further more, the truck doesn't seem to shift into 4th with the O/D off, and will not downshift unless I come to a complete stop.
Unless there is something I am missing, there seems like there is only really three options left, rebuild, torque converter, or TCM. Any input would be super helpful. Thanks in advance

Checking a TPS on a 3vze using 4Crawler's method is a real chore, mainly because of the angle of the connector.
But if you have the A340H, you don't have to do that -- the transmission will (almost) check it for you! http://web.archive.org/web/201408160...34electron.pdf Since this is an end-to-end test, it's much better than putting an ohmmeter directly on the TPS. And LOTS easier.
