95 3VZ Auto to Manual Swap.
I was at the Toyota only yard in Sacramento yesterday to pick up a jack crank handle, and I asked about an auto to manual swap for my 95 runner.
The guy says to me, and I quote, " Can't be done, unless you swap out the engine also, the bell housing on the automatic has a different bolt pattern than the 5 speed."
I was about to differ with his statement until I realized that arguing a point like that with him wasn't going to get me my jack handle.
So I paid for the handle, said thank you and left.
It appears that all the dummies don't work for PEP girls and O'Reillys.

This is why most shops charge a rate of 100 an hour. Knowledge is money. People in those rancho cordova yards, and most oreilly, autozones, are complete morons. 9/10 when I'm in that area I simply keep to myself and go there to get what I need and leave.
