I'm leaning towards an alternators but it's my first yota and wanna be able to know if it might be something different .. Any help would be appreciated , thank you in advance .

I was able to turn it over but my lights were barely bright , couldn't even see the dash lights cause they were so dim and it wasn't responding right when I was hitting the gas , it's like there was not enough power to run at full power like it's not getting enough juice

Rpm gauge was flickering and the battery gauge was all the way to the left and it would flicker when I turned my turn signals on

Take a multimeter, put on battery when off, 12.5v +/- .5v at most. Start engine, do same with meter, at least 13.25v least, most 14.5v Anything more or less means alt problem. Take the terminals off, clean the terminals and the post sont he battery, repeat test, check for changes.

If that all checks out, check all the cables, the ground and connections to the fusebox and fuses over to be sure nothing is loose or bad.

Concur with voltage checks & connections.

Good connection means shiny bare metal contacting each other. Gray metal / gun-metal is not bare metal in electrical sense. Battery terminal cleaner only cost a few bucks. I once overheard someone asking to have his battery checked at O'Reilly, because he was having problem starting. Battery tested fine. When he left the counter, I told him to buy terminal cleaner/brush. Problem fixed

Once done with above, do more voltage checks outlined on Charging System Explained on my signature.

BTW CJM, How are your Hella optilux el cheapo backup lights holding up? I'm considering them for fogs.
